My primary qualification is from Tehran University in Iran. I arrived in UK in 1982 and studied general medicine for four years (including one year of neurology) before my anaesthetic training. My registrar training was at Westminster Hospital and the senior registrar training was at the Royal London Hospital. During all of my rotations, studying pain and its management was an important part of my learning. I spent my last year of senior registrar at Whips Cross Hospital, which is considered to be an excellent centre of pain management.
I have been a full time consultant in pain medicine at chase farm Hospital for the last 12 years. I work closely with Mr Tim Bull consultant spinal surgeon and have shared practice on management of many spinal conditions. I am a member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of anaesthetists. I have wide experience in dealing with most of acute and chronic pain conditions including back, neck, shoulder and head and neck. Many of pain relief interventions aim at long-term pain relief.
